Forecast Discussion
Ridging is currently going on, and keeping skies mostly clear for today. It should be a nice, seasonably appropriate day with wonderful, clear skies. This pattern will take hold today, and through the day tomorrow, before a cold front approaches the region. This will bring temperatures down for the weekend, and a chance of rain Thursday night into Friday. After the rain event, we’ll get a little bit of the winter that we never got, with highs around the 40s during the day, and near-freezing temperatures at night.
Next week is looking to be much colder than any of us could hope for. With the polar jet lowering as far South as Florida, and that pattern will take hold for a little while.
