Forecast Discussion
After a quiet week minus some light rain this week, the weekend looks to bring some severe weather. Saturday may bring a light shower early in the morning and again after 10pm. The daylight hours look dry. Sunday brings us a severe weather threat. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk (that’s a 2 on a scale of 5). Storms along a cold front look to come in after dark on Sunday and depart before sunrise. Main threats look to be damaging winds and large hail but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Make sure to have 2 ways to receive weather warnings and have alerts activated on your phone before you go to bed Sunday. Another round of storms look to form midday on Monday which may also carry a severe threat but that threat is greater off to the east. Tuesday looks to clear with temps possibly not hitting 50 degrees. Another round of storms come in Wednesday night which may also be strong to severe.
