Forecast Discussion

Currently sitting in the warm sector of a midlatitude cyclone, we are experiencing some warmer than average January temperatures. There is a high of 50 degrees for today, and we may see some late rain-snow mix. This will not last long, as the cold front of the cyclone will pass by on Tuesday. This will bring frigidly cold temperatures for the next few days. Tuesday will see a high temp in the mid 20’s, with a low temp of about 4 degrees overnight. Even though we will see some sunshine on Wednesday, it will be even more bitter, with a high in the upper single digits, and a low of about negative 3 degrees. It would be wise to stay out of the cold, especially at night. Thursday, the high temp will be rise to the mid 10’s, and rising to the mid 20’s on Friday. The low for Thursday night will still be in the lower single digits, but will be in the upper 10’s on Friday night. Saturday we will see some common January temperatures again.
