A potent cold front has tracked its way through the area, which will cause a steep temperature drop as the day continues. We’re expected to hit our forecast high well before sunrise, and we’ll see temperatures enter into a free-fall through the day. Rain will persistent into the afternoon and early evening hours, and will eventually taper off around sunset.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, but we will have temperatures well below the freezing mark which will cause us to have widespread frost. While the NWS has not yet issued a freeze warning for the region, do not be surprised to see one issued soon. Tomorrow we will have slightly less active weather, but it will still be cold. Tomorrow night is also going to be our first real show at snow this year, although we are not expecting any significant accumulation or hazards for your commute on Wednesday morning.
Following tomorrow, we’re expected to have a slight warming trend as a surface high takes hold, but we will likely not have temperatures as warm as they were last week again this year.
