Forecast Discussion

This week will begin with another ridge over the region, which will keep temperatures in the upper 80’s/lower 90’s until Thursday. Winds will remain moderate and southerly, advecting the warm air northward. It will continue to be humid and muggy through Thursday, but dewpoints will decrease after a cold front attached to a low pressure passes to the north of the region Thursday; there is a slight chance of rain as the cold front is passing. Winds Thursday afternoon may increase during and after the cold front passes and temperatures are going to cool to the upper 60’s and lower 70’s for the weekend.
