Forecast Discussion
A low pressure system has currently parked its core over much of the southeastern Ohio region, promoting ample scattered showers throughout the day. Later, rain showers will organize along a cold front, which is set to move through the region during the early evening. A few rumbles of thunder are also possible. Throughout Sunday, clouds are expected to persist as temperatures drop to the low 40s. Overnight Sunday into Monday, however, cloud cover will break as higher pressure begins to move into the region. By Monday, strong high pressure will be prevalent, keeping conditions calm.
By Tuesday, however, a complex frontal setup has the potential to return snow to the area. With the heaviest snow occurring in the morning, accumulations could total between 1-3 inches, which could make for hazardous driving conditions during this time. While Wednesday remains cloudy, another quick-hitting low pressure system will move in during the evening, returning another chance of steady rain into Thursday morning. Temperatures during this time will have increased to the mid-40s.
