Forecast Discussion
A cold front will continue to progress through the region this evening into the overnight, causing clouds to hang around but temperatures and humidity to begin dropping. Behind this front, high pressure moving to the north will cause conditions to be quite pleasant for the day Friday, with a mix of sun and some lingering clouds accompanied by seasonable temperatures in the low 80s and low humidity. This pleasant pattern will be short-lived, however, as by Saturday, the next disturbance will begin moving into the region. Any early peaks of sun on Saturday are expected to be obscured by clouds by evening, with showers and storms developing in the evening and overnight. Rain are expected to remain all through the night into the day Sunday, with accumulations of 0.5-1″ possible in total. This heavy rain could give rise to flooding concerns, especially in areas which receive locally heavier amounts from embedded thunderstorms. By Sunday evening, the front will have moved past the region, replaced with another area of Canadian high pressure bringing very pleasant, calm conditions for next week.
