Forecast Discussion

A stationary, but cold air mass is currently sitting over the region today, and while we’re well enough into spring to see springtime temperatures during the day, clear skies and colder conditions will lead to a quick temperature drop off when nightfall comes. Temperatures tonight are expected to encroach freezing territory, and could even be below freezing in certain areas. Patchy frost and some morning fog are both possibilities tomorrow morning. Once daytime heating starts, though, both of those should clear up rather quickly and should make way for another beautiful clear, mild day similar to today.

Following tomorrow, we have a low-pressure system and a cold front that will come disturb the peace, winds will turn Southerly ahead of the cold front, and we’ll see a chance at some precipitation starting Friday night, through Saturday, and into Sunday morning. After this, though, we’ll see a similar start to next week with another high pressure system taking hold.
