The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk (level 2/5) for severe weather for Wednesday and Thursday (June 17th and 18th). This risk is still several days out and there is a chance the forecast could change during that time, however, the Scalia Lab forecasters recommend everyone to stay tuned for updates as we head into next week and more details about this severe weather risk emerge. Tonight will be calm and partly cloudy before more chances for storms arrive tomorrow. Some of these storms could be stronger, so remain weather aware just in case. Showers will continue into Sunday night, but should be out of the region by midnight. Monday and Tuesday will be beautiful with highs in the 70s. Looking ahead, a chance of storms will be present starting on Wednesday with a larger chance for severe storms on Thursday.
