Calm conditions are expected for Christmas Eve with relatively calm winds. Clouds will remain fairly clear in the morning and early afternoon but will return by the evening and into overnight. Rain could make its return overnight into Christmas Day, possibly lingering on-and-off throughout the day as well. Winds will remain variable and inconsistent directionally Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. By Friday, rain will still linger as a system moves eastward over the state by then. Winds will pick up around 10 mph at this time as well, but nothing significant is expected to come out of this system. Moving into the weekend, we’ll see some relief on Saturday as clouds begin to clear slightly but will pick back up on Sunday as yet another system rolls through. Overall, a mild Christmas Eve and Christmas Day is expected with somewhat soggy conditions!
