Forecast Discussion
The significant low pressure system bringing our rain showers earlier today continues to leave a scattered rain-snow mix in its wake. Expect it to clear up in the wee hours of Thursday morning. Tomorrow, overcast conditions will continue and persist until Sunday. Thursday night, snow with accumulations of no more than an inch are expected after midnight and possibly into Friday morning from another passing low. A substantial snow event is predicted to begin Saturday afternoon and last into the evening, bringing an estimated two and a half inches along with plummeting temperatures from another polar vortex. Sunday daytime wind chills may be as low as sub-zero due to moderate winds combined with air temperatures in the teens. Sunday night, temperatures will drop even further into the single digits. Continue to monitor for cold weather alerts issued by the NWS for safety and guidance.
