After a low-pressure system drove a cold front through bringing severe weather last night, high pressure lingers today as subsidence behind the front takes hold. This will mean nice weather reaching about 80 degrees today with sunny skies. Unfortunately, a secondary low-pressure system will move through tonight into tomorrow bringing some more showers and thunderstorms.

Temperatures after this next frontal passage are expected to drop a good bit from what we’ve been used to lately reaching the high 50s by Sunday. Thankfully, mostly sunny skies and dry weather will be present in the long-term forecast over the weekend with slightly chilly temperatures. Frost can also be expected early Monday morning as temperatures drop to near freezing overnight. Otherwise, enjoy the nice weather today and through the weekend!
