Good morning Athens! Today will be a fairly good day to be outside as our highs today will likely stay within the low to mid 70’s. But we need to be cautious for some early afternoon pop up showers with perhaps an isolated rumble of thunder with some of them. Tonight we will see calm conditions as the overnight low will be in the mid 40’s. Some polar influence from the Canadas will keep Sunday a little cooler than today as the winds will have a more Northerly component. A high just above 70 degrees is expected. Sunday night we once again fall back to the 40’s with rather calm conditions. This calmness won’t last long.

Into the extended range we will see chances of unsettled weather mainly on Tuesday and Wednesday as the remnants from thunderstorms out West make it into our region. Highs will likely get into the 80’s on Monday and Tuesday but we will see our temperatures cool off in response to some widespread rain showers brought in by a cold front on Wednesday.
