Happy Homecoming Bobcats!

The rest of today should be a pleasant warm day. The high will top out around 80 degrees today. The Homecoming game should be nice and pleasant this afternoon and evening. Throughout the day clouds will move into our area from the system off to our west that will bring us rain tomorrow. Because of this, the low will only get down to around 65 degrees tonight. Most of tomorrow will be cloudy and rainy and because of this, tomorrow we are under a Marginal Risk for Excessive Rainfall for the possibility of flooding with the rain coming through. Based off WPC’s Rainfall Outlook, we could see upwards of 0.75-1″ of rain tomorrow.

With the persisted clouds and rain, the high won’t change much tomorrow, with it only topping out around 67 degrees. It will cool down throughout the day as that cold front moves through. We could see some scattered rain showers move through Sunday night into Monday as the system moves out. It should clear out as we head into Monday morning. The low will bottom out around 43 degrees tomorrow night into Monday. It will also be quite windy tomorrow as this system moves through. We could see wind gusts up to 35 mph or stronger, with sustained winds around 15 to 20 mph.

After this system moves through, it will once again become quiet for most of next week as high pressure takes over. We could see another cold front move through Tuesday into Wednesday that will cool us down even more for mid to late next week. We could see some showers from this cold front but without much moisture it looks unlikely.
