Forecast Discussion
Athens County has wonderful weather staying around for the remainder of this week. Humidities and cloud coverage will remain low tonight, and carry over into Thursday and Friday. A high pressure system supports this nice weather, bringing in northerly wind flows. Cooler air from Canada will make its way down to Athens in the next few days. The high pressure system will move eastward Friday afternoon, as cloud coverage will increase then.
Skies will be overcast Saturday and Sunday, as a low pressure system from the northwest will drive in some rain starting late Saturday evening. Although not severe, over half an inch of rain is expected throughout Saturday night and Sunday. Any remaining showers will clear out by Sunday evening. Monday and Tuesday will have partly cloudy skies, with slight chances of rain. Cold fronts will remain close to the Buckeye state, having our temperatures remain noticeably below average until next week. Enjoy the nice weather while it is here, and keep that umbrella nearby for the weekend.
