Forecast Discussion

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 7pm December 31, 2018 until 2am January 1, 2019

Precipitation associated with a passing of a warm front earlier in the day will continue throughout the day today. Abundant moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will keep rainfall for most of the region around a inch or more at the end of this event. Before a passage of a cold front later on tonight winds will be fairly gusty around the region, with gusts around 40 to 50 mph. Clouds remain for New Years Day, but temperatures will cool back down to the lower 40’s tomorrow. For the remainder of the week, temperatures and weather look stagnant with clouds and temperatures in the lower 40’s. Our next chance of precipitation looks to be on Thursday as another low pressure system moves through.
