We’re in for an active few days of weather! Last night, we were hit by the warm front of a mid-latitude cyclone, which means today is going to be cloudy, but warm. Due to the presence of a low-level jet, winds today and tonight are going to be a little off the chain. This low-level jet is going to keep average winds high, they will be highest in the afternoon, and we’ll see sustained winds around 20mph, with gusts potentially exceeding 30mph. Make sure anything that can blow away outside is secured.

After today, the cold front of the system will hit us, this is the reason the temperatures spike down so low after Wednesday. The arrival of the cold front will bring rain starting late tonight and lasting through tomorrow, and we’ll see temperatures dip significantly from tonight to tomorrow night, with temperatures being well below freezing by tomorrow night. After the cold front affects us, though, skies will clear. Through the next few days, we will see high pressure take hold once again, although temperatures will remain cold.
