Forecast Discussion
High pressure will remain in control in the near term, keeping conditions dry overnight with lows only dropping into the mid-60s. Southerly flow returns on Tuesday which will increase both temperatures and dewpoints, making the air feel even muggier. These conditions will allow for the possibility for a stray shower due to the unstable environment, but any chances for rain still remain low. Late Wednesday, a strengthening Low pressure system in the northern Plains region will begin to approach and provide scattered showers and storms ahead of its warm frontal boundary. Storms will be likely on Thursday, with rain chances persisting into the overnight hours before we dry out again on Friday after a cold front swings through.
