Another warm and muggy night in store with cloud cover slightly increasing overnight. Patchy fog will become possible late overnight and into early Thursday morning as conditions presume favorable. Rain showers and even some thunderstorms will become possible as Thursday morning progresses. Any early cloud cover and precipitation may end up hindering the projected high temperature. As the forecasted cold front approaches the region from the northwest, showers and thunderstorms will become more likely throughout the afternoon and evening hours. Some strong gusty winds, heavy downpours and potential flooding risks will be the primary concerns of Thursday. Rain showers and extensive cloud cover will continue to exist through Thursday night and into the first part of Friday as the front passes to the south. By Friday afternoon, cooler and drier air gets filtered in as northerly flow briefly dominates. Highs near 80 will exist for Friday and into the weekend in addition to a high pressure to the north maintaining these drier conditions.
