More breaks in the clouds were observed tonight, and overnight will continue partly cloudy conditions. However, don’t get too comfortable, as a clipper low pressure system approaches our area, set to impact Tuesday in the late morning. Initially, some light snow is possible, non accumulating, but as the afternoon arrives, this snow will mix with rain, becoming a more messy mix. While ice impacts are unlikely, travel may be a little disrupted during this transition period. Rain will likely take over by the later afternoon, and continue through the evening and into Tuesday night. Late Tuesday night, snow will mix back with the rain, and a few flurries will last into midnight.

Wednesday looks to be calmer, though colder air will have moved in, keeping our high in the low 40s. Some clouds in the morning will see a few breaks near the afternoon, becoming mostly cloudy into the night. Higher pressure returns with an increase in temperature later this week, and cloud cover will remain partly cloudy. By the weekend, however, another low pressure system will likely move into the area, delivering some rain showers on Saturday.
