A few showers this evening will taper off, but a chance of scattered showers still remains throughout this cloudy night. These overcast skies will likely persist through the morning into the afternoon, though a few breaks in cover are likely as the afternoon continues, becoming partly cloudy by the evening. Pressure still remains high, granting us calm conditions throughout Saturday into Sunday, though an approaching low pressure system set to arrive on Christmas day will serve to shake up this pattern.

Monday will see unseasonably high temperatures to start off, at a high in the low 60s. Cloud cover will increase, and a warm front will swing up through the area in the late afternoon, delivering a wide spread of rain showers to enter the evening. From this storm, rainfall totals could be around 3/4ths of an inch, and will continue through Tuesday as well. Closing with a cold front swinging through the area early Wednesday, a few thunderstorms are possible around this time. Temperatures will plummet to the 40s as the week continues, remaining mainly overcast with a chance of flurries and snow showers possible as well on Thursday as the cold core of the low pressure passes through the Ohio Valley.
