Forecast Discussion
A weak upper-level low and its associated trough will continue to reside over much of the eastern region, keeping conditions unsettled heading into the weekend. Mostly clear skies are expected to start the night, with a heavier cloud deck building in late. Chances for showers and storms will ramp up again in the afternoon Friday after daytime heating, with chances persisting all the way through Saturday night. Rain will be more likely during the afternoon and evening hours Friday and Saturday, which will help keep daytime highs in the lower 80s. The trough will continue to propagate eastward, with drier conditions expected for Sunday. However, an occluded low looks to linger around through the start of the next work week, keeping a slight chance for scattered showers and storms in the forecast through Monday.
