Forecast Discussion
Conditions will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear tonight, as the forecast area is dominated by a region of high pressure. Overnight temperatures will only fall into the lower 70s with humid air, as a stationary front slowly approaches from the West. On Sunday, the front will make it way into the area, bringing a slight chance for rain showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The stationary front will weaken and move out of the region on Sunday evening, but the slight chance for evening showers and storms will persist throughout. On Monday, a cold front associated with a low pressure system swinging through the Great Lakes Region will advance through the area, bringing with it some rain showers and thunderstorms that will build in intensity throughout the day. Monday evening will see the peak of these rain showers and storms, which will diminish during the early morning hours on Tuesday. Following the passage of the front, skies will clear and temperatures will return to seasonal averages for the remainder of the work week.
