Forecast Discussion
Predominantly dry weather is expected today as high pressure builds into the area behind yesterday’s cold front passage. A shower or two is possible along the Ohio River as a frontal boundary slowly moves northward. Temperatures tonight will be warmer than last night and with a stronger wind being present, widespread frost formation is not likely at this time. An area of high pressure will dominate through Wednesday into Thursday bringing mainly sunny skies. Overnight lows Wednesday and Thursday night will be low enough for widespread frost. High pressure will move eastward on Friday giving way to rainy conditions ahead of a cold front. Current models have the heaviest rain arriving Friday evening through early Saturday morning. An area of high pressure will build into the region Sunday to dry things out.
