Forecast Discussion

Tonight, skies will remain mostly cloudy as a strengthening low pressure system approaches from the west.  Continued winds from out of the south will push more unstable air into the Ohio Valley, creating increasing chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Enhanced winds aloft will help support increasing thunderstorms coverage through the afternoon, with damaging winds and hail as the potential threats.  The slow progression of the low will create the continued chances for showers and thunderstorms through Saturday and Sunday.  With multiple rounds of rain expected, isolated flooding will also be possible.  Once the low passes on Monday, upper level forcing will continue to create an unsettled pattern through the middle of next week.
