Forecast Discussion
Today, the current low pressure system affecting the area will shift to the east placing southeast Ohio between frontal boundaries. Pockets of moisture will lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Tonight showers will become more consistent ahead of a cold frontal boundary as it approaches the area. Rainfall may become heavy at times. Sunday, the low pressure system will move south, and conditions will continue to be wet. Monday, the system will begin to dissipate leading to increasingly scattered storms as the day progresses. Tuesday, as the shortwave trough responsible for this system dissipates, it will be replaced by an upper level trough which will bring in a new round of showers and storms lasting most of the week.
