Forecast Discussion

A weak cold front passed through Southeast Ohio overnight allowing temperatures to plummet into the upper 40s. An area of high pressure will build into the region today bringing sunshine and pleasant conditions. High temperatures will be several degrees below average today, with highs topping out around 70. The flow will turn more zonal on Sunday as the southeastern United States ridge expands towards the area. This will allow for a warming trend through the early part of the week. With the ridge of high pressure forecasted to stick around through the majority of next week, precipitation chances will be highly dependent on passing upper-level shortwaves. The best chance for precipitation currently appears to be on Tuesday.
