Forecast Discussion

Starting off today with some patchy fog across the area but it will burn off by mid-morning clearing the way for mostly sunny skies this afternoon thanks to high pressure moving into the area. Highs today will be in the mid 80s. Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the low to mid 60s. Monday, the high pressure slowly moves east, away from the region, and clouds will be on the increase starting Monday afternoon into evening as a low pressure will track through the Great Lakes. A warm front will move through late Monday night into Tuesday morning bringing showers and thunderstorms before a strong cold front moves through late Tuesday night. Count on showers and thunderstorms during the day Tuesday, some storms could be strong and produce heavy rainfall so we’ll have to watch this closely as it approaches. Once the cold front clears the area Wednesday, winds will shift coming from the northwest bringing cooler temperatures with it and dry conditions will follow through the end of the work week.
