A stationary front to the northwest will continue to cause instability in the region throughout the end of the week and into the weekend. Today will see scattered showers and potentially thunderstorms as temperatures once again reach 80 degrees fueled by moist air from coming in from the south. Tonight precipitation chances begin to increase leading into Friday with a significant 70 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms as the front slowly moves eastward. Cooler temperatures can be expected as the week finishes with a Saturday high in the mid 60’s with continued chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Sunday will finally bring an end to the showers as the stationary front move out of the area and is replaced by some higher pressure which will strengthen into Monday allowing for come sunny skies for the beginning of next week.
