Forecast Discussion

Today, the presence of an occluded low pressure system passing through the Great Lakes will lead to showers and storms throughout the day. As a cold front passes through the area, temperatures will cool, and there will be potential for scattered heavier showers. Storms will begin to break up, but potentially last until Wednesday morning when high pressure will begin to take effect. This high pressure will start a warming trend for the rest of the week as a weak upper level ridge builds. Saturday, a shortwave trough will pass over the area, once again causing chances for showers and thunderstorms.
