Forecast Discussion

A shortwave trough will move towards the area throughout the day bring snow then rain for most of the Southeast Ohio region. Rain with slight chances of a mix will happen overnight when this system moves out of the region. A cold front moves through on Friday giving the region a break from the precipitation. On Saturday, the next system moves into the region. At the moment rain looks to start with a wintry mix possible as temperatures fall Saturday night. Snow looks to start Sunday as temperatures stay below freezing. Accumulation amounts can change the next couple of days, but flooding looks to be a concern as rain and melting snow could cause problems. The region dries back up by Monday.
