Forecast Discussion

A weak high pressure system will continue to remain in control and keep us dry for the day today. A few breaks in the clouds will allow highs to reach the mid to upper 40’s. Beginning late Sunday night, rain chances will increase for the Southeast Ohio region as a low pressure system begins to form in the Mid-Atlantic. A upper-level jet streak will allow for this system to form in the right entrance region of the jet-streak. By Monday, this system will move over the area and bring a significant warm up to the region. Highs will be in the 60’s with rain looking likely most of the day. Showers continue into Monday night as a cold front moves through and cools the region back down to the 40’s by New Year’s Day.
