Today, pleasant temperatures and clear skies will dominate after the passage of a cold front and the trough that moved through. Slightly breezy conditions will also accompany the passage of this cold front today as this low-pressure trough begins to exit our region. Today and tomorrow, a strong high-pressure system is starting to set up that is showing even in the upper levels. This strong high pressure is going to bring a stretch of hot weather with below-average precipitation expected over the next 6-10 days.

Temperatures are expected to rise and stick around well into mid-week, possibly reaching up into the mid-90s. Moisture that is expected to move in from the north will create very uncomfortable conditions, with heat indices expected to be around 96 to 98 degrees on Monday and Tuesday, which may warrant Heat Advisories on one or both days.
