Forecast Discussion

After the cold front passage, a strong high-pressure system from Canada will settle over the Great Lakes region bringing dry and pleasant conditions. This change in pattern will bring dewpoint temperatures down into the 50s making it feel comfortable outside with highs in the low to mid-80s. A trough of low-pressure may inch northward toward the Tennessee Valley Tuesday into the mid-week, which could bring some cloud cover and an isolated chance for a stray shower. Otherwise, it will remain dry and pleasantly calm. However, due to possible northwesterly flow from the high-pressure, there could be some haze in the sky due to wildfire smoke from Canada. Although air quality alerts aren’t expected to reach unhealthy criteria like in much of the Midwest, Ohio seems to be clear for now. Stay tuned for updates!
