Partly Cloudy, Increasing CloudsIssued: 8am on Friday, February 23rd 2024
Forecast Discussion
Increasing clouds today as the result of an imminent cold front approaching Southeast Ohio. There is slight chance of rain around the afternoon from the remnants of yesterday’s cold front. A new cold front, coming from Northern Canada is advancing towards Athens County but will not impact us until early morning (roughly 2am-3am) Saturday. This cold front, bringing along cold air with it, allows for temperatures to cool and bring along chances of snow. By Saturday night, temperatures will dip into the low-twenties due to the passage of the cold frontal system in the morning. Sunday, temperatures will recover back to the low fifties as a high-pressure system builds and sunny skies will result.
