The SPC has issued a Marginal Risk for Athens today with the main threat being damaging wind gusts. Heading into Saturday and Sunday, storms are likely with some turning severe. The main threats include damaging wind gusts and hail. Storms that bring heavier downpours will likely cause potential flooding in the area. Once the low-pressure system moves through the day on Sunday, rain and storm chances will taper off Monday morning as a cold front moves through. High-pressure will settle in on Tuesday bringing drier conditions under mostly sunny skies.
