Forecast Discussion

After a period of intense instability in the region that brought severe weather to Southeast Ohio, post-cold front low temperatures and occasional precipitation is expected for the next few days. A low pressure system will pass to the North of our region, bringing colder air and temperatures. Today, rain is expected since temperatures are not expected to be below freezing, but tonight is a different case. The potential for snow squalls exists through tonight as the temperature drops, and through the morning tomorrow the chance for a rain/snow mix exists.
Significant snow accumulation is not expected for low-elevation regions, while higher elevation in West Virginia areas can see around 2-4“. After this system, temperatures will remain cold with slight chances of precipitation on Tuesday, when the weather is expected to warm up once again.
