An upper-level ridge will remain in the area today through Saturday morning creating subsidence and sinking motion allowing for high pressure at the surface. Temperatures will be a bit cooler with highs in the mid-70s and lows in the upper-40s tonight. However, an upper-level shortwave trough will progress Saturday evening into Sunday with a low-pressure system that will bring rain chances. Once the system moves out, a ridging pattern will return, allowing temperatures to warm into the mid to upper-80s at the beginning of the work week. Tuesday can bring muggy conditions as an approaching low-pressure system will make way for more chances for showers and thunderstorms.
