An upper-level trough and a stationary low-pressure system to the north of Ohio will allow cold, arctic air from Canada to stagnate over Athens keeping the air chilly and windy. With gusts having the possibility of reaching up to 25 mph, windy weather is not expected to leave the forecast anytime soon. Thankfully, it looks like precipitation will not affect Athens into the weekend and into early next week; though, the typical cloudy and dreary skies will persist these next few days give or take a couple of sunny skies with an introduction of high-pressure to the south.
