Forecast Discussion

A very warm and humid start to our morning as temperatures are only down in the middle 60’s. A low pressure area will form in central Indiana this morning and lift northeastward into southeastern Michigan by later this evening. This system will also drag a potent cold front through our area just after midnight tonight, out ahead of the front, we will see some scattered storm activities which may produce scattered damaging wind gusts and isolated tornado risk for our area before main area of rain moves through and end any severe weather threat. SPC has issued a slight risk for us today so please monitor latest forecasts carefully. Rain chances will continue into Saturday morning hours with totals ranging from 0.5″-1.00″. Much cooler weather enters our region this weekend into early part of next week with seasonal temperatures returning.
