Forecast Discussion
Today and the start of the weekend will see plenty of sunshine with drier conditions. Although there is a cold front expected to move through Friday evening. However, this cold front is very weak and will not result much of anything for our area. High-pressure and slight upper-level ridging will provide subsidence and clear skies with highs hovering around the low-80s and climbing to the mid-80s on Sunday. This is due to a midlatitude cyclone located over Canada progressing eastward. This will lift a warm front into the area where Ohio is located in the warm sector. While this system isn’t particularly strong, a chance for a shower or thunderstorm is possible Sunday evening once the cold front pushes through creating some lift and instability. A secondary cold front will push behind with a colder airmass entering the region and high-pressure behind it. As a result, fall-like temperatures will settle in with highs near 70 degrees and sunny skies to start the next work week.
