Forecast Discussion
High surface pressure, currently aided by upper-level ridging is still dominant, keeping things pretty nice over the next 24 hours or so. As an upper-level trough brings in a low-pressure system and a subsequent cold front with it, clouds will start to move in on Saturday night, also bringing a chance for some pre-frontal precipitation with it in the early morning hours on Sunday.
Sunday we will see showers and thunderstorms across the region as this cold front sweeps through, and temperatures will go from the upper 70s into the low 70s. Overnight lows are not expected to change much, but you will for sure need a sweatshirt in the morning hours given the mid-to-high 40s temperatures. After this system, high pressure will build back in and dominate the weather through at least the first half of next week. Things look to possibly start to dry out as well, so we will be keeping an eye on the drying trend over the next several days.
