The upper-level ridge pattern will move out Monday as a slow-moving, deep cut-off low progresses eastward. As the low moves to the east Monday evening, rain chances will begin to pick up with windy conditions. Due to the enhanced southerly flow, temperatures will reach the low-60s on Christmas Day and Tuesday. Chances for thunderstorms are possible ahead of the cold front Tuesday afternoon and evening as there is enough elevated CAPE available and low-level moisture. Therefore, a white Christmas will not happen, unfortunately.

The cut-off low will linger through Friday, bringing off rain chances for Wednesday and Thursday. A cold front will move through Wednesday morning with temperatures dropping back to the 40s Thursday and Friday. There is a slight chance of a rain/snow mix Friday morning but it will diminish as the system moves out of the area.
