Forecast Discussion
A Flood Watch is in effect from Tuesday morning through late Tuesday night.
After a dry and warm weekend, Monday continues to reflect this trend. Temperatures climb into the low 60s and overnight lows remain in the mid to upper 40s. However, a cold frontal passage from the North will stir up some chaos headed overnight into Tuesday. Heavy rainfall and even a crack of thunder or two are likely from this system, with the main hazards being flooding and gusty winds. The rain persists all day into Wednesday, with chances of rain lingering through Wednesday morning. Temperatures drop below freezing overnight once the system passes through. A second system from our South is expected to pass through on Thursday, and because temperatures are expected to be around freezing, a wintry mix is expected from this system. Be sure to stay updated with this system throughout the week, as temperatures fluctuate around the freezing point, affecting the type of precipitation our area will see from the system.
