Wind Advisory

It will be quite a windy day and night today as a potent low pressure system will quickly move through the area today. The wind will be transporting warm and humid air northward bringing high up to the low 60s. The strong low pressure system and am attending cold front will then move through late this afternoon, uplifting the warm and humid air into numerous scattered showers and thunderstorms, some may be severe. Current thinking is that an initial round of showers and thunderstorms will occur during early and mid- afternoon. Some gusty winds could occur with these. A second round will then come through late afternoon into early evening. These have the possibility to be the main troublemakers with damaging wind gusts as the primary threat, and a quick spin-up tornado possible for much of Ohio as a secondary threat.

As the storms move out, rain chances will dwindle after midnight as the cold front sweeps through. It is a mild cold front, so lows will only drop to the mid-40s as cloudy skies take place throughout the rest of the night. Tuesday will have more mild temperatures with highs in the mid-50s as high pressure and clearing skies filters into the region. Tuesday night will be when the cooler temperatures actually set in as clear skies and high pressure will drop those temperatures to the mid-30s

The extended forecast first brings another day of unseasonably warm temperatures with a high on Wednesday reaching almost 75. After of which, another active storm system will move through bringing chances for rain showers Thursday and Friday with highs hovering in the high 50s and lows in the low 40s.
