The chances for rain and storms will diminish this evening as the cold front moves off to the east and skies begin to clear tonight. An upper level ridge will move through the eastern half of the U.S. on Tuesday bringing sunny and dry conditions for the next few days. High-pressure will stick around through Thursday bringing hot summer-like temperatures into the upper-80s to near 90. It will be pretty sticky and humid with dewpoint temperatures in the mid to upper-60s. A pop-up afternoon shower or storm is possible due to the muggy conditions especially on Thursday. A weak upper-level disturbance Thursday into Friday can bring back some chances for showers and thunderstorms.
