Forecast Discussion

Calm and sunny conditions with a mild warm-up is in store for us today and tomorrow after winter’s brief return. Today will be sunny with temperatures warming up to around 50 with locally higher temperatures where daytime heating is sufficient (i.e., near and around Athens). Tonight, skies will be clear allowing all that daytime heat to escape and bring temperatures back down into the mid-20s. Tomorrow (Tuesday), temperatures will warm even more than today. Mostly sunny skies and a high near 60 can be expected. Tuesday night brings clouds back over southeast Ohio with mostly cloudy skies and a low just below 40.

Our extended forecast looks much more active than our short-term forecast. Rain chances will exist Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with the highest chance existing on Friday. Along with the rain will be mild temperatures with highs near 60 and lows near 50 with the exception of Thursday where high temperatures are expected to reach 70. Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!
