Forecast Discussion
High pressure builds in from the south today, keeping the area dry. Cold air advection behind the cold front that passed through last night will keep temperatures below normal, with highs in the mid 40s. Temperatures will be near freezing tonight as a weak disturbance moves through the area, bringing a slight chance for snow showers. Dry weather is expected on Tuesday into Wednesday as high pressure continues building. A warm front will move through the area Tuesday night, putting us in the warm sector of a low pressure system; this will allow temperatures to climb near 70 on Wednesday. Precipitation chances increase Wednesday night into Thursday as a cold front crosses through Thursday afternoon. Cold air advection and high pressure settles into the area behind the front, dropping temperatures back down into the mid 40s for Friday. Saturday will be a mainly dry day before another system approaches on Sunday.
