Forecast Discussion

Dry and pleasant conditions will continue today through Wednesday as high pressure dominates the region. A weak cold front will push through Tuesday afternoon, but the lack of moisture will prevent any precipitation from falling. Southerly flow and warm air advection will be present on Thursday as a stronger cold front approaches the area Thursday night into Friday morning. Precipitation chances will arise Thursday afternoon and into the evening hours, and highs for that day will peak to about 70 before temperatures take a dramatic drop due to cold air advection behind the frontal passage. Scattered rain showers may linger through the weekend as conditions remain unsettled.
