As a low-pressure system moves out of the region, high-pressure and an upper-level ridge will fill in. This will allow skies to clear and stable conditions to persist. There will be a chance for some rain showers to impact Athens, but the chances will remain minimal today into Tuesday. A dramatic shift in temperature is also expected much of this week. Overnight temperatures are expected to plummet into the lower 30s, and maybe into the upper 20s! Frost will be possible this week, so make sure you bring any outdoor plants inside if possible and prepare to scrape off any frost on your windshields before heading into work or class.

Thankfully, by the end of the week, temperatures seem to slowly increase back into the upper 60s, making walking outside a little more comfortable. Although, low temperatures will still linger around the mid-to-lower 30s. If you have any plans on being outside early in the morning or late in the evening, please make sure you bundle up and keep yourself warm!
