Before sunrise today, a cold front attached to a strong low pressure system moved through our area, delivering some thunderstorms as we slept. Currently, that cold front has exited off to our right and is still pushing eastward, meaning that our region today will experience high winds and plummeting temperatures as the day progresses. We will experience a morning high of 68 degrees with some sunshine, but by noon, temperatures will begin to drop, and clouds will begin to move into the area once more. By the mid-afternoon, temperatures will have fallen to the 50s, and by evening, temperatures will be in the 40s. We are under a High Wind Warning today, for southwest winds of 25-35 mph, and gusts up to 55 mph. These winds will be especially prevalent in the early afternoon hours. Additionally, due to the influence of such a strong low, some scattered, light rain showers are possible in the late afternoon. By nighttime, temperatures will sit in the low 40s, but winds will have dropped to below 20 mph and will continue to drop as the night continues.

By Sunday morning, there will be a chilly morning low before sunrise at about 30 degrees, but with partly cloudy skies that will clear further as the day continues. Winds will be variable and between 0-5 mph, thanks to another high pressure developing near our area. Temperatures will rise to the mid 50s, and the afternoon will be calm and sunny outside. Clear conditions will persist into the night, but some scattered clouds will develop after midnight. Overnight, winds will continue to be light and variable, with a low of 37 degrees.
